How to Choose a Waterproof Bag

Three details decide whether a bag is genuinely waterproof: the fabric, the seams and the closure. PVC tarpaulin and TPU-laminated fabrics keep water out on their own, but a bag is only as good as its weakest seam, so stitched seams in the waterproof shell need to be welded or sealed. Roll-top closures are simple and reliable when rolled at least three times; airtight zippers give quicker access and can be rated for immersion. Match the rating to the use: IPX5 or IPX6 for rain and spray, IPX7 or IPX8 for submersion.

Every order passes through incoming material inspection (IQC), in-process checks during welding and sewing (IPQC) and final inspection (OQC), with SGS or QIMA third-party inspection available on request. Our test programme covers seam tensile and bonding strength, load testing of 1,500+ cycles, zipper testing to 3,000 cycles, salt spray on hardware, abrasion, and colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample.
